Dark Fire: Character Profiles

In a previous post I mentioned needing to get to know my Dark Fire characters better when I felt stuck and my writing wasn’t flowing.

Creating character profiles wasn’t something I did before I wrote Contact (I have now), I simply went with my instinct and, while this was fine at the time, I have certainly felt the benefit from exploring my characters on a deeper level this time, especially after writing Encounter characters for three books.

Originally, I used Kristen Martin’s Character Mapping Worksheet but as that contains secrets for my eyes only, I have also completed a slightly less spoilery profile from Lara Ferrari at writinglaraferrari.com for Tia, Joel and Lucas (they are 3 pages each so don’t forget to click through).

I hope you enjoyed getting to know a bit more about my Dark Fire characters, they can’t wait to show you their world. That being said I’d better get back to writing! In the final part of my Dark Fire Research featurette series we’ll be looking at the rules of this new world…

See you next time!
