Welcome back to the Dark Fire universe — where the shadows bite back, and heroes carry both scars and silver bullets.
Today, we’re sitting down (well, trying to) with Joel and Lucas Jackson, the infamous demon-hunting duo whose reputation stretches from Detroit to Seattle and beyond. They’ve faced monsters, loss, and the kind of family drama that makes even demons run for cover.
So grab a drink, light a candle, and settle in as the brothers take a break from saving humanity long enough to answer a few questions.
(Spoiler: expect sarcasm, sibling rivalry, and at least one knife joke.)
Part I: Let’s Start at the Beginning…
1. What are your names?
Joel: I’m Joel, and this is my brother Lucas.
2. Give me your full name…
Joel: Scowls Joel Jackson.
Lucas: And I am Lucas Jackson.
3. What species are you?
Lucas: Extremely human.
Joel: Although we can’t say the same about eighty percent of the company we keep.
4. And your age?
Joel: 23.
Lucas: 19.
5. Are you good guys or bad guys?
Joel: Grins Depends on what day of the week it is.
Lucas: Rolls eyes Definitely good guys.
Joel: Not if you’re a demon…
Lucas: No, not if you are a demon.

6. Would you say you can handle pressure?
Lucas: I should hope so. It’s a daily occurrence — especially having Joel as a brother.
Joel: Hey, I resent that. Punches Lucas in the arm
Lucas: Rubs arm Oh, it’s not true?
Joel: I still resent it.
7. Favourite colour?
Joel: Black.
Lucas: Gives an incredulous look Black? Really?
Joel: What’s wrong with black? What’s yours, pink?
Lucas: Blue.
Joel: Scoffs Predictable.
8. Do you get along with others?
Joel: I can be quite charming when I want to be.
Lucas: We’re great guys — we fight for the forces of good. Smirks.
9. Do you have enemies?
Both laugh.
Lucas: Yes, a lot.
Joel: We’ve killed a lot of demons. Makes ’em hate us.
10. Friends?
Lucas: Being our friend is kinda lethal.
Joel: They usually end up dead. My best friend was eaten by a werewolf.
11. Are you patient?
Joel: Yes.
Lucas: Gasps You are not!
Joel: Yes, I am!
Lucas: Oh, okay — so how come when we were staking out that vampire nest in Seattle, you lasted about three seconds before charging in guns blazing?
Joel: I got bored waiting.
Lucas: Exactly.
Part III: Hypothetically Speaking…
12. If you could become any creature, what would you pick and why?
Joel: A wolf — no, a dragon.
Lucas: Laughs You’ve been watching too much Game of Thrones.
Joel: Deny the awesomeness… see? You can’t.
Lucas: I’d be a lion. Lions are badass — and hunters, just like us.
13. One of your enemies compliments you. Response?
Lucas: Stick a knife in their heart. A demon complimenting me won’t stop me from killing it.
14. One of your friends insults you. Response?
Joel: Stick a knife in their heart. Holds hands up, laughing. I’m joking.
15. If you could change anything about yourself?
Joel: I’d be more patient. Apparently, it’s something I’m lacking.
Lucas: I wish I hadn’t said anything. Now he’ll sulk for days.
Part IV: Getting Personal
16. What were your parents like?
Lucas: They were amazing, beautiful people.
Joel: Yeah, and badass demon hunters too.
17. Any siblings?
Exchange a glance.
Joel: Apart from each other, obviously, we had a sister. Kayla. She was older. She died. Looks down.
18. Are you dating anyone?
Joel: Nope. Young, free, and single.
Lucas: I was, but it ended… she left. Doing what we do, it’s not easy to date.
Joel: You’re better off.
Lucas: Joel.
Joel: I’m just saying.
Lucas: Drop it.
Joel: Holds up hands Fine. It’s dropped.
19. Thinking about getting married?
Both: No.
20. Your biggest secret?
Lucas: Monsters are real.
Joel: Once, I faked a back injury so I could take the motel bed instead of the floor.
Lucas: Looks at Joel Are you serious?
Joel: Shrugs Sorry.
21. Worst fear?
Joel: Them winning.
Lucas: Demons?
Joel: Yeah — the darkness. We fight it every day. Losing terrifies me.
Lucas: Mine’s one of us dying and leaving the other behind.
Joel: So it’s okay if they kill both of us?
Lucas: You know what I mean.
Joel: Yeah. Oh — and being possessed. That would be hell.
22. What are you most proud of?
Lucas: Seeing the way Joel steps up to any situation makes me proud to be his brother.
Joel: Beams Thanks, bro. I’m proud to be yours too.
23. Something embarrassing?
Joel: Apart from that last question?
Lucas: I have way more stories about you.
Joel: Looks worried Next question.
Part V: Closing Questions
24. Are you satisfied with your life?
Lucas: Yes. We help people. Fighting evil and making the world better is what we’re meant to do.
Joel: Agreed. It’s tough, but worth it.
25. Anything left on your bucket list?
Lucas: I’d like to travel more — outside the US this time.
Joel: I want to meet the president. Pretty sure he’s a demon. Smirks.
26. Your personal quote?
Joel: “Your only limit is you.”
Lucas: That’s rad! Think of one for me.
Joel: “Don’t limit your challenges — challenge your limits.”
Lucas: High fives him Perfect.
27. Do you like change?
Lucas: Nothing in our world stays the same for long.
Joel: Doesn’t matter if we like it or not — we have to be ready for anything.
28. Most valued possession?
Joel: My gun. It’s gotten me out of plenty of scrapes.
Lucas: Same. Also, my laptop.
29. Anything else to share?
Joel: Nope. Are we done?
Lucas: Demons to kill, people to save.
30. Last question — what advice would you give yourself?
Joel: Shoot first, ask questions later.
Lucas: Laughing That’s horrible advice!
Joel: Chuckles.
