It has been a while since I have posted an update so I wanted to check in. Apart from a major binge session of seasons 1-6 of Game of Thrones (yes I know, I can’t believe I’ve missed out on it for all this time, it is phenomenal!), I have been writing the third book in the Encounter Series, Alliance.
I have to admit, it has been more challenging than I anticipated so far. This is mainly because there was a certain area in the plot which wasn’t working and I was having difficulty getting around it without changing some important scenes. I can’t really say much more without stepping into dangerous spoiler territory, but I found a way around it and am back on track. Perhaps I will post some alternate scenes once Alliance has been released.
Whilst I adore spending time with Eliza, Jack & co and still have several books to go with them, lately I have found myself drawn back to Dark Fire and Tia, Joel and Lucas. I have also outlined Second Apocalypse, a new series which I am so excited to get into but it is in same universe as Dark Fire so I want to get that done first. So my plan is that after I have finished Alliance I will dive into Dark Fire and come to Encounter afterwards.
In April I joined in (late again) with #WIPjoy on Instagram which was great fun. As Alliance is my current work in progress, naturally, it was heavily featured. I have posted the teaser images below – check out my Instagram page to see all the posts.
